About this listen
Hello Mama, and welcome to episode SEVEN of Mumstoppable!
Now, along with Blue Monday, January brings with it another really important date, and that’s “Parent Mental Health Day”, which falls this week on 27th January. Each year the day has a theme, and this year’s theme is “positive connection”.
When we overlay the findings of Peanut’s “The State of Invisibility” report, which states that a staggering 80% of UK mums have experiences loneliness/isolation, and 86% of UK mums wish people would check in on how they were more frequently, the topic of today’s show became clear to me…
And that’s why today’s #coachingcorner sees us discussing our villages, our network, our support systems. And don’t worry if you feel like you don’t have a village! Because I’m going to talk you through how to work out who is in your village, and also how to work out where you need to recruit new villagers!
Today’s #coachingchallenge is yet again a lovely one you can practice with your kids. Ultimately it’s about checking in on your mum friends, but also I want you to start using the 3 Hs when you offer support to people: HEARD, HUG or HELP. Listen in for more!
