About this listen
Elif Fâtıma is an intuitive filmmaker, writer, and energy (self) healer. Her work focuses on intergenerational healing and Islamic mysticism aiming to explore visual storytelling from an embodied, decolonial, community-centered framework. As the great-granddaughter of Sufi lineage holders, she preserves the teachings of her indigenous Sufi-Shaman ancestors and incorporates them into her art. Elif Fâtıma's recent short film she wrote/directed, 'Loose Threads (2021)' has been selected for international film festivals such as Toronto International Women's Film Festival and Berlin International Art Film Festival.
