Dr. Jafeth Sanchez, Director of the Latino Research Center, recently published a new article titled: Gleaning into the Aspirational-Pursuit Gap of GEAR UP Students. This research consists of an exploratory analysis of program evaluation outcomes. We discuss some findings in this episode, including the predominant representation of Hispanic/Latinx backgrounds among GEAR UP students. Additionally, we explore some of the personal experiences endured by Dr. Jafeth Sanchez in her own path to higher education.
