This was eye-opening for me. When I came across this post from Motivational Quotes (@motivational) which shares a great idea as to what inner peace is all about. This reminded us that: “Inner Peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.” The first thing that came to my mind was the fact that I need to work on this a lot more and that every day brings us many times where we have to deal with other people and events that make it tough. But then as I was recording, I thought about that and I took the view that I'm getting plenty of opportunities to strengthen this “muscle” of choice - and that’s how I’m going to get better! I can’t complain about these people and events - they are going to be there no matter what! I can focus on using them as moments / lessons, where I can get better! That was a very powerful mindshift for me. Life is all about getting better, whenever & wherever we can. Thanks for listening.
