About this listen

The Maine-Niles Association of Special Recreation (M-NASR) is an extension of 7 park districts in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and provides recreation programming and services all for individuals with disabilities within those seven park districts.

Formed in 1972, and the second special recreation association in the state, M-NASR’s mission is to provide individuals with disabilities access to meaningful and life-enriching recreation and leisure opportunities.

Trisha Breitlow, Executive Director of M-NASR has been in the field since 1999 and at M-NASR for six years. She has her degree in Therapeutic Recreation and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and Certified Parks and Recreation Executive (CPRE).
