Un melodramma intenso e raffinatissimo che ha fatto storia, un film sull’amore ma anche sul tradimento, la perdita, le occasioni mancate, la memoria, la brutalità del passaggio del tempo, la solitudine. Splendide le interpretazioni degli attori Maggie Cheung e Tony Leung Chiu-wai, che hanno spalancato le porte dell’Occidente alla bellezza del nuovo cinema asiatico.
