About this listen

Many times we SEE what we’ve been preconditioned to see…

👀

Two stories in the Old Testament, 40 years apart, illustrate this.

👇

Story 1– The 12 spies felt like grasshoppers compared to the giants in the promised land. Numbers 13-14

Story 2– 2 spies meet Rahab, who reveals the people of Jericho (the “giants”) have been “melting in fear” for 40 years— because they feared the children of Israel. Joshua 2

🤷‍♂️

It happens all the time to us.

We we see things “incorrectly,” it causes us to—

👉 See OTHERS differently, such that we’re not able to receive from them or encourage them

👉 See OURSELVES differently, such that we’re not able to walk into our full purpose / passion

👉 See OUR SITUATION differently, such that we don’t see God’s resources and abundance around us…

Perhaps this is why so many verses in the Bible tell us to—

✅ Consider what we think and how we think (Proverbs 23:7)

✅ Recognize that God can do far more than we can think or imagine (Ephesians 3:19-20)

✅ Realize that we have the “mind” (read: imagination) of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16)

✅ See that God has a grace-empowered destiny for us (Ephesians 2:8-10).

And…

… to the point of the title…

Paul prays that the eyes of our heart / soul be PHOTIZO / photosynthesis (life-creating, life-giving).
