But how would Bud Davis play in 2025? Was this still his film, or was he outmatched by Sissy (Debra Winger) at every turn? Could we still root for Bud? Did we get too much of a glimpse into a dark side of Travolta that cast a pall over his entire filmography for the rest of the '80s? Were we left hoping that Sissy would just get to spite ride the mechanical bull off into the sunset all by her lonesome? The answers to those questions and so many more are contained within.
