DEWALT Elite Series 4.5-inch 40G T27 High Density Grinder Flap Disc have ceramic cloth abrasive flaps that detach during use leading to serious lacerations and other injuries. These grinder discs are used with angle grinders for heavy-duty work. Affected are models DWA8280HRT and DWA8280RT, with date codes from 2024-36 to 2024-48.
About 17,680 units were sold nationwide at industrial supply stores including Grainger, Fastenal, and Airgas, as well as online at Amazon.com, between September 2024 and May 2025.
Stop using these recalled flap discs. To receive a refund, visit the DEWALT website at dewalt.com/support/safety-notices-and-recalls/flap-disc-recall.
