About this listen

Life inevitably places us in 'Joshua moments' – transitional periods where we stand between our past and an uncertain future, facing responsibilities we may not feel prepared for. Joshua experienced this when Moses died and leadership of Israel suddenly fell to him. He faced stepping into an unrequested role, leading without his mentor, and confronting seemingly insurmountable obstacles – challenges that likely feel familiar to many of us. God's approach to leadership development often differs from the world's. While society expects people to prove themselves before being elevated to leadership, God frequently places people in positions that require dependence on Him, allowing them to grow into their roles. When Joshua felt overwhelmed, God didn't immediately tell him not to fear – instead, He gave promises of His presence and support. This reveals a profound truth: what matters most isn't having all the answers but knowing God is with us through every challenge. God repeatedly commanded Joshua to 'be strong and courageous' because significant callings are inherently difficult. Courage isn't just for major battles but for daily obedience, whether that means standing for what's right in a contrary culture, parenting with godly principles, or sharing faith when it might make us unpopular. By identifying where fear holds us back, consciously trading fear for obedience, and taking the next step even while afraid, we can move forward in our 'Joshua moments,' remembering that God doesn't call the equipped – He equips the called.

Our mission is to multiply God’s Kingdom through being and making disciples everywhere.
Be. Make. Multiply.
