 Aug. 17, 2025 ~ Lynn Alexander is a nationally recognized leader in the field of aging, with a career spanning over 25 years in public service, senior living, and caregiver advocacy. A former Michigan cabinet official and chief marketing officer for one of the country’s largest senior living organizations. She is the author of "Caregiver Tsunami: Finding Strength, Humor, and Humanity in the Storm of Caregiving." Manresa Jesuit Retreat House held its first retreat on the weekend of Sept. 23-26, 1926. This year, on Sept. 28, Manresa begins a year-long celebration called “Sacred Encounters: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” to mark 100 years of helping men and women grow spiritually through prayer, reflection, guidance, and teaching according to the Ignatian tradition. Manresa director Sr. Linda Sevcik joins Michigan Voices.
