It's time to hit the slopes at Heavenly Mountain Resort, where a recent storm has brought a fresh blanket of snow to enjoy. As of April 3, the base snow depth stands at 95 inches, with 21 out of 27 lifts open for skiers and snowboarders. In the last week, Heavenly received about 25 inches of snow, though exact figures for the past 24 and 48 hours aren't available. This stretch of snowfall has set the stage for fantastic piste conditions, both on-groomed trails and off-piste powder.
Currently, the weather at Heavenly is showing a mix of cloudy and clear skies, with temperatures ranging from a chilly 31°F in the mornings to highs of about 44°F during the day. Over the next five days, expect clear skies with warmer highs reaching into the mid-50s by the weekend. This should result in pleasant spring skiing conditions, ideal for enjoying the sunshine and warmer temperatures on the mountain.
Piste conditions are excellent, with well-groomed trails and plenty of powder in the off-piste areas. Season totals have been impressive, thanks to several significant storms throughout the year. Heavenly is scheduled to close on April 20, so there's still time to enjoy these fantastic spring conditions.
