When RICK HENKIN’S wife, Sonia, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in January 2020 at the age of 65, everything changed. He quickly realized that the burden of caregiving could shorten his own life if he wasn’t careful. So, Rick committed to working deeply on himself—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. After a long inner journey, He finally reached what he calls my “Heaven Island”—a state of peace, acceptance, and clarity where he could care for Sonia without losing himself.
