About this listen
In this episode of Healing in Progress, I’m joined by Nina Bailey (she/her)—a holistic death doula and space holder whose work centers compassion, care, and honoring life transitions. While Nina often works with those navigating end-of-life journeys, today’s conversation opens the door to the many ways grief can show up—and how we can give ourselves permission to heal on our own terms.
We talk about what it means to hold grace for ourselves in the healing process, especially when the loss we’re grieving doesn’t come from death. From the grief of losing parts of ourselves, our identities, or relationships, to navigating change and uncertainty—we explore how to create space to feel, process, and begin again.
I also open up about my own grief journey after losing my father and what it’s looked like to keep going, even when the pain doesn’t go away. This episode is a reminder that healing takes time, and you are not behind for needing yours.
🖤 In this episode, we explore:
- What grief beyond death can look and feel like
- How to give yourself grace in the midst of big transitions
- Ways to begin healing when you're not even sure where to start
- Why our timelines don’t need to match anyone else's
- My personal experience grieving my father while continuing to hold space for others
