About this listen
Episode 7 of Master Plant Talk has host Tyler Hurst of Microdose Yoga interviewing combat veteran Ulises Lopez, co-founder of the AYA Mission, a nonprofit focused on harm reduction for veterans.
Ulises shares his journey from a challenging childhood to becoming an accomplished combat veteran in the U.S. Army. He discusses the impact of his military service, including injuries sustained in combat and the emotional toll of war. After transitioning to civilian life, Ulises faced struggles with addiction and mental health but found healing through plant medicine and community support–which led to the co-founding of The AYA Mission.
