• Episode 7: Try to Understand, My Nephew is a Complicated Young Man
    Apr 8 2024

This week we focus on the idea that people aren't always as they seem at first and that sometimes horrible people can create beautiful things and that amazing people can do horrible things. We all have the capacity for both within us and wrestling with and coming to terms with the idea that those we once admired may be horrible or that, we ourselves, may not be seen as a good person to everyone, is a hard task to tackle.

I've had this episode recorded and ready to go for a while, I can't say exactly why I didn't just piece it together, but none the less, here it finally is.

Also, when I logged in today to put this all together I was very surprised to see that I had a couple of comments and messages on previous episodes. Truly, thank you! Although this was always a project for myself, I cannot lie that it's nice to see others do enjoy it and find meaning in my rambles.

I have a busy couple of months ahead of me but I'm hoping to get another episode out before I leave to addend a funeral in a few weeks, with luck I'll be able to but I cannot guarantee my mental health will hold in any capacity. Do not worry, I will be fine and I have a good set of friends around me for support. <3

    Nov 13 2023

It's been a while, did you forget about me? I hope not completely. Episodes will most likely be irregular right now, but I'm going to try getting them out every other week. For the time being, I hope you enjoy this week's dive.

  • Episode 5: Are You so Busy Fighting You Cannot See Your own Ship has Set Sail?
    Jun 26 2023

A bit of a shorter episode this week with an additional segment at the end where I talk about some current events. Our focus this week is making sure we figure out where to direct our attention and focus. There may be times the tools we have are not being used correctly and thus we are not able to properly see how to get to our end goals in life. We may also need to be open to the idea that what we think we need to do in order to accomplish a goal may be incorrect.

  • Episode 4: Most People Think the Lotus Tile Insignificant
    Jun 19 2023

This week we talk about the importance of remembering you're not significant and that the domino effects we set off in the world are far reaching. You should believe in yourself and take a chance on things you want to do and create, you are more than worth it. Never forget that.

I do tell probably one of my hardest stories so far in this episode as well as cover some heavier topics. If you need to not listen because of that, it is understandable and perfectly fine, we can have tea together next week. Above everything else I want you all to be doing what's best for your mental health. I hope the week ahead brings you calming and peace.

  • Episode 3: You Should Take Your Teacher's Advice and Relax a Little
    Jun 12 2023

This week we talk about just taking a break. Giving ourselves permission to relax and put ourselves first for once. After all, your selfcare should never be an option. You have to look after yourself once in a while and it can't stay on the backburner, it's important to do. If you don't look after yourself mentally or physically then eventually your body will force you into a period of rest and sometime that rest period is something that will not allow you to go back to 100%. Look after yourself, you are important. If you hear a dog barking in the background, I am sorry for that. I think my audio program got rid of it but I'm unsure if you may still be able to hear my neighbor's dog once in a while or not. I hope your week goes well and remember, I'll be checking in with you on how your self-care goes!

  • Episode 2: Even in Exile, My Nephew is more Honourable than You
    Jun 5 2023

This week we dive into the topic on knowing when to walk away or when to humbly accept defeat. It is not an easy task to do but if we start to practice it little by little we can start to break away from the chains and toxic behaviours we wish to rid ourselves from.

So this was a little bit harder to write this week and then I had some editing errors that made it so I had to re-record parts of the episode. Last week's lesson about being impatient really rung loud in my head as the frustration got to me a bit.

I think the mic audio is a little better than last week as well, although still not amazing, it is probably as good as it's going to get with just my headset microphone.

  • Episode 1: You are Impatient, You Have Yet to Master Your Basics
    May 29 2023

We all know going through this series is going to end up dragging up a lot of unprocessed emotions and struggles. There will be times that writing, recording and editing these episodes will be extremely hard. So before we just dive in, I think it's good to review how we can go about handling these emotions when they pop up and the important questions to ask ourselves when faced with emotions, feelings and aspects of ourselves we may not like. Always remember to be kind and gentle with yourself, especially when trying to learn something new.

To talk to you all more candidly about a couple of things, I do want to say thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in this series already and given a follow, comment, favorite, share and all of those things on TikTok. It was amazing to see it honestly, I was legitimately only expecting the teaser to reach maybe 300 views but at the moment of writing this it's gotten almost 1,000. So thank you do much! Secondly, I do want to apologize for the audio not being the best. I do not have the best of microphones to use and this is honestly my first time trying to edit and adjust audio files. While I do hope to eventually get a better microphone (at least a USB one), for now this will have to do and I hope it's not unbearable.
