  • Tawnee McCay for Riverton Mayor
    Jul 24 2025

Today on the podcast, I’m excited to welcome Tawnee McCay — a dedicated public servant, financial expert, and proud Riverton resident. Tawnee has served on the Riverton City Council since 2018 and is now running for Mayor. With an MBA in Financial Planning and experience with real estate, city budgeting, and family finance, she brings a strong fiscal mindset to local government.

Tawnee and her husband Dan have been married for over 25 years and are raising six children in the community they love. She’s known for her hands-on approach to leadership, active involvement in local schools and service organizations, and her commitment to keeping Riverton financially strong, safe, and connected.

We’ll talk about her vision for the city, what inspired her to run for office, and how she plans to keep Riverton a great place to live for generations to come.

    Let’s dive in.

    Mar 2 2025

Join me and @VictoriaPetroUT as we launch Politics in Motion, a new series on the Happy Grateful Blessed vodcast—a deep dive into the issues shaping Utah’s municipalities: homelessness, housing, healthcare, energy, and workforce. We’re political opposites and problem-solving allies, bringing key people to the table to show how cities get things done. Local is where the rubber meets the road—because it all matters. These issues start and stop at the local level. For cities, it’s always personal.https://youtu.be/au18ldCU8aQ
