Solomon shared his experiences growing up in Ohio and his current life in Maryland, a diverse state with a large African population. He discussed the cultural differences between his homeland and the United States, such as the concept of nursing homes and the importance of community. Solomon highlighted the opportunities and structured processes in the United States that have contributed to his success in the social service space. He also reflected on his experiences visiting Ethiopia in 2018, where he reunited with his extended family.
