Olivia Burchfield is an upcoming senior at the University of Alabama at Birmingham pursuing both of her bachelors and masters degrees in Public Health. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school to one day work as legal counsel for hospitals. Her passion for early literacy began at 12 years old, which has since developed into her platform PROTECT- Providing Resources and Opportunities to Empower Children Together. As Miss Alabama Collegiate America, she has promoted BRAVE and read with hundreds of kids, donated over fifty formal gowns for low-income girls to be able to attend prom through her “Glamour for Good” dress drive, and helped get Z-Pouches into the largest high school in Birmingham.
