By this axe WE RULE, and if you don't like that, you can come and take it! The Month of Action goes barbarian with 1997’s Kull the Conqueror! However you may feel about Kevin Sorbo, this movie is METAL AF, from the music to the creature effects. This is a great “Conan adjacent” story that has some awesome lore and badass fights! We couldn't go without mentioning the stacked cast featuring Thomas Ian Griffith, Harvey Fierstein, Litefoot, and the literally smoking hot Red Witch Tia Carrera as well as the ice cold stunner Karina Lombard!

Practical effects, hand made miniatures, real explosions, realistic future dystopia, iconic characters, ULTRALITES! What's not to like about Escape from New York? Well, we find a number of holes in the the plot and a few questionable film making decisions that in NO WAY diminish our enjoyment of this movie. Yes this movie has faults but it's a genuine classic that keeps the Month of Action trucking along like a well oiled wrestler. The Month of Action fights back as Chuck Norris returns to B-ACTION in The Hitman! (No, not THAT Hitman. The 1991 one!) Italians, French Canadians, and Iranians battle for territory in the dark underground of Seattle. Grogan tries to trap them all as an undercover cop. But an old nemesis is out to take advantage of the chaos! Brutal violence, badass dialogue, and a dark noir theme get balanced by a wholesome story. Dustin’s excited for an upgrade over last week and Mickey speculates this as a prequel to Walker: Texas Ranger…Charlie is just happy to share an underrated gem!

The Month of Action is coming in strong with another banger as we welcome in Nate to help cover Mad Max: Fury Road. Wait...who? Nate? He's still alive? Indeed he is and comes in strong with everything we've been missing since Pete broke him in February. The consensus for the film is don't think too much and watch it on the biggest screen with the baddest sound system you can find. This movie will blow you away.

Did you ever dream of flying to the Middle East in a fighter jet to save your Dad from a group of terrorists? If not, you can stand in the corner with Dustin as we kick off “The Month of Action” with 1986’s IRON EAGLE! Bad ass tunes, bullies on dirt bikes, high speed fighter jets, and a rag tag group of underdogs highlight one of the most underrated movies of the 80’s! This is a stacked cast of future stars with an iconic performance by Louis Gossett Jr.! Does any of this story make sense? Not really. Are we still obsessed with Doug Masters’ journey to national hero? HELL YES!

Do you like to watch Yahtzees get killed in a number of creative ways? I know I like watching Yahtzees get killed in a number of creative ways. That said, we kick off the annual MONTH OF ACTION with a modern classic, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. For reasons that can't be understood, the film didn't do well in the theaters and we, as action fans, should be ashamed that we didn't get out and see it. Comparisons with Inglorious Bastards isn't fair as "IB" is completely fictional and "Ministry" is based on actual events from WWII. Are BOTH movies worth your time? ABSO-FREAKING-LUTLY and frankly I'm hard pressed to think of a better action double feature. Now look friends, you have to promise me that you will listen to the show ONLY AFTER you go watch the film. You will thank us.

WHY ARE WE YELLING?! BECAUSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT KILLER ROBOTS WITH SPECIAL GUEST SEAN FROM MOVIE DUMPSTER!!! 1994’s Death Machine stars Brad Dourif as a classic maniacal, immature, perverted villain trying to maintain power and cause a shit load of chaos. He unleashes the ultimate killing machine called the “Warbeast” in a corporate building, killing anything and everything in its way! That includes walls! This movie has some brutal violence (see the elevator scene) and intense moments! Larger than life characters rule the screen, including the debut of Richard Brake and you'll get more movie references than you can shake a rocket launcher at!

Sadly, the Month of Chaos has come to an end but we go out with a bang! The Wheel of Pain fell on Charlie's name and we were graced with the Jackie Chan / Chris Tucker blockbuster Rush Hour. So many mixed feelings led to an amazing conversation. Pete and Charlie both got in trouble with the Give Me Back HR department while Anna was laughing and pointing knowing she was still in good graces.
