Episode 25:29 How To Be A Health Coach

Can you imagine becoming a Health Coach?

    Yes, you!

    I think you’d make a great one.

After all, you love health, especially natural approaches to health and healing, and you like to help others.

Plus, the world NEEDS you… a person who can provide health care solutions that don’t rely on drugs.

Natural solutions that address the CAUSE of disease and work WITH the healing power of the body… not against it.

On this episode I talk more about the topic of becoming a Health Coach.

Specifically, I share the three main qualifications you’d need to possess.

Qualifications I feel confident you already have… or can easily obtain.

Be sure to give this episode a good listen, even if your goal is simply to become your OWN Health Coach.

And, as always, please share this episode with a friend.

    Thanks!

Episode 25:28 Supplements That Help Lower Blood Sugar

One of the questions I am most frequently asked is this:

“Are there natural supplements I can take to help lower my blood sugar levels?”

On this episode I answer that question.

Specifically, I talk about several whole food nutritional products and herbs that I recommend to patients in an attempt to optimize their blood sugar levels.

Some of these supplements help directly lower blood sugar levels… others help defeat the desire for sweets… and a few help nourish the organs (brain, pancreas, liver and kidneys) that are involved in blood sugar control.

Be sure to give this episode a good listen as the majority of American adults battle with high blood sugar.

And, as always, please share this episode with a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 25-27 How To Prevent, And Reverse, Insulin Resistance
    Jul 2 2025

Episode 25:27 How To Prevent, And Reverse, Insulin Resistance

If you listened to the last two episodes of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast you learned three “health facts”:

    1) High cholesterol does not cause heart disease. Insulin resistance does.

    2) Insulin resistance also causes many other disease: Type 2 Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Cancer, PCOS, erectile dysfunction, fatty liver disease, and arthritis.

    3) You can tell if you have Insulin Resistance through three blood tests:

    - Fasting blood glucose.

    - A1 C

    - Fasting insulin

An elevated level of any of these is a sign of Insulin Resistance.

On this week’s episode I teach you how to reverse and correct Insulin Resistance. Specifically, I share four “tools” you can use to help lower your blood sugar and Insulin levels.

Four “tools“ that will help you restore your health in a natural way… without the use of drugs.

Please give this episode a good listen as Insulin Resistance affects the overwhelming majority of adults in this country.

And, as always, please share this episode with a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 25-26 The Signs, Symptoms And Blood Tests That Define Insulin Resistance
    Jun 25 2025

Episode 25:26 The Signs, Symptoms And Blood Tests That Define Insulin Resistance

Believe it or not, there’s a really good chance that the cells of your body are Insulin Resistant.

That’s not good because Insulin Resistance is THE cause of many major chronic conditions.

Conditions such as heart disease, fatty liver disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, cancer, obesity, Alzheimer’s, PCOS, erectile dysfunction and infertility.

Unfortunately, most doctors know very little about Insulin Resistance.

How to identify it or how to treat it.

    That’s not good.

The truth is, EVERYONE should know about Insulin Resistance.

    - What it is.

    - How to know if you have it.

    - Steps you can take to reverse it.

On this episode I address what Insulin Resistance is and the blood tests you need to have done to see if you have it.

It’s information that I feel is extremely valuable and should be taught to everyone.

So please be sure to give it a good listen and then share it with a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 25-25 The REAL Cause Of Heart Disease
    Jun 18 2025

Episode 25:25 The REAL Cause Of Heart Disease

    Guess what?

The REAL cause of heart disease is NOT high levels of cholesterol.

Nor is it a diet high in saturated fat. A diet that includes foods such as meat, eggs, butter and cheese.

    The REAL cause is this:

    Insulin Resistance!

Yes, Insulin Resistance is the number one cause of heart disease.

It’s also the best predictor of it.

In fact, Insulin Resistance is a much better predictor of heart disease than cholesterol.

On this episode I explain why.

I also answer the following questions:

    1) What is Insulin Resistance?

    2) What causes Insulin Resistance?

    3) How to know if you have Insulin Resistance?

    4) How to prevent/reverse Insulin Resistance?

The information on this episode is extremely valuable and should, in my opinion, be taught to everyone.

Be sure to give it a good listen and then share it with a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 25-24 Does High Cholesterol REALLY Cause Heart Disease???
    Jun 11 2025

Episode 25:24 Does High Cholesterol REALLY Cause Heart Disease???

For years we’ve been told that high levels of cholesterol increase our risk of developing heart disease.

We’ve also been told that lowering high cholesterol levels, primarily through the use of statin drugs, decrease our risk.

In both cases, what we’ve been told is wrong.

    The truth is much different.

You see, while taking statin drugs WILL lower our cholesterol levels, they will NOT lower our risk of developing heart disease.

So, why have we been lied to?

    More importantly… what’s the truth?

That is, what DOES increase our risk of developing heart disease and WHY have we been lied to about the “cholesterol - heart disease connection?”

On this week’s episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast, I answer these questions.

Be sure to give it a good listen and, as always, share it with a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 25-23 Taking A Statin Drug? Listen To THIS!
    Jun 4 2025

Episode 25:23 Taking A Statin Drug? Listen To THIS!

Did you know that, for most people, taking a statin (cholesterol lowering) drug does nothing to reduce their chance of having a heart attack?

    It’s true.

It’s also something I’ll discuss on NEXT week’s episode.

For THIS week's episode I want to focus on the potential side-effects of taking a statin drug.

Side-effects you DON’T hear enough about.

    Side-effects that include:

    - Muscle pain and lack of energy.

    - Brain fog and memory loss.

    - Digestive problems and depression.

    - Low libido and erectile dysfunction.

    - Increased risk of developing diabetes and cancer.

These side-effects are real and impact millions of people worldwide. Yet, very little is said about them.

In fact, most doctors DON’T know about them.

That needs to change… starting today.

Give this episode a good listen, especially if you or a loved one take a statin drug.

And, as always, please share this episode with a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 25-22 It’s Not Your Thyroid… It’s This!
    May 28 2025

    Episode 25:22 It’s Not Your Thyroid… It’s This!

When is a Thyroid problem, NOT a Thyroid problem?

That’s a great question. One I answer on this episode.

Specifically, I talk about a patient of mine who saw her Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels spiral out of control.

However, the problem WASN’T with her Thyroid.

Nor was it with her Pituitary gland… the part of the brain that makes TSH.

    It was somewhere else.

Somewhere, and something, that had nothing to do with her Thyroid.

In fact, it was something we discovered after looking at some of her OTHER blood tests.

Something that anyone who takes Thyroid medication should be aware of.

Give this episode a good listen and, as always, share it with a friend.

    Thanks!
