About this listen

Nebraska successfully managed to get Syracuse commit Kamnron Wilson to change one of his official visits scheduled in June to get the Huskers on the list. Wilson, who visited the Huskers in April, changed his scheduled June 6 visit to Cal to Nebraska. He announced the move on social media on Wednesday morning. The Huskers have been pursuing Wilson fairly heavily with Phil Simpson being one of the most involved recruiters on Nebraska’s behalf. The talented defender committed to Syracuse in March, but continued to take visits, as the Huskers brought him in several weeks after. It was a strong visit for Nebraska, which impressed Wilson enough, that he continued the dialogue with the Huskers and after Simpson visited earlier this week NU was able to land the coveted official visit. Making the trek at the same time is offensive lineman Ryan Miret, Wilson’s high school teammate, who also holds a Nebraska offer and is planning to visit the same weekend. Wilson is a three-star as ranked by 247Sports and 247Sports Composite. Husker247 View: Nebraska is in a great spot here despite the commitment. Wilson has told the Florida State 247Sports site the best visit he went on all spring was Nebraska. The best facilities he’s seen are Nebraska. Simpson has done a really nice job here. We’ll see where it goes, but right now it appears Nebraska has the best shot at flipping Wilson. Don’t discount a big push from the Seminoles though.
