  • Episode 4 - Numbers 14: The Dangers Of Complaining
    Sep 21 2022
Today I found myself reflecting on Numbers Chapter 13 and chapter 14 and it's subsequent chapters and verses.

It dawned on me that all of the people who were doing the complaining were 20 years and over. Their mouth is what got them in trouble and they all died in the wilderness.

I also can't help but to reflect on what Caleb said at Joshua 14:7-12 that God kept him (regarding that time spent in the wilderness).

God keeps those who follow him wholly; those who trust him without all of the complaining.

    Catch.

  • Episode 6 - Romans 8:1 When There IS Condemnation In Christ
    Sep 18 2022
The misunderstanding of Romans 8:1 and the subsequent misapplication has come from years of not reading the scripture in its full context.

The fact that it starts off by saying "therefore..." indicates that the proceeding versus give substance to why the verse was written. Thus, I would encourage the reading of the proceeding verses and chapters also.

But in the meantime, before you complain or gossip about a brother or sister in Christ, keep this in mind, "there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the spirit."

    Therefore, consider this:

Are the acts you are gossiping about and condemning according to the sinful nature?

Where the ask someone else was judging you over according to the spirits or according to the sinful nature?

Are you taking someone to court, or being taken to court?( Matthew 5:25, 26) is it over the sinful nature?

The fact that you are in court is evidence that there is condemnation over which a judgment is expected. Even something as small as getting a parking or speeding ticket falls in this category.

Is the person you are at odds with a christian?

I didn't ask if they went to church. I asked if they were a Christian.

Do they claim to believe in Jesus christ?

Would they acknowledge Jesus to be their savior?

You cannot answer for them. But this would serve as a great opportunity to learn what it means to acknowledge Jesus as Lord, explaining that this means to have Jesus as one's master. It's a great opportunity to witness and redeem a brother to oneself. But, instead, we take one another to court. (1Corinthians 6:1-8.)

Therefore, and this is just a question, are we then acting in christ?

    There is condemnation in Christ.

It comes against those who, though they claim to be in christ, they are living according to their sinful nature.

  • Philemon 1 - A Wealthy Book
    Sep 12 2022
How many of you have read the book of Philemon?

It's and amazing book with a great lesson about letting go and receiving again. (See verse 15-16.)

Its a tiny book, being only one chapter, and to find it turn to Hebrews. It's located right before Hebrews.

    Further references:

    About letting go - 1 Corinthians 5:1-5

About our attitude when having to let someone go - the story Jesus told of the prodigal son and the father's attitude toward this son prayerfully watching for him, and upon seeing him in the distance returning, he ran to the son.

    About receiving again - Philemon 1:15, 16

What a wonderful lesson on relationships. But Father sent me back there this morning because there was another nugget tucked away in this book. Lol. Caught me off guard when I saw it. Lol

Father has double confirmed me first with Isaiah 52 and now with Philemon 1.

    Glory be to GOD.
