About this listen

You know what? I just realized I completely forgot to introduce myself in the first episode!

So—hi! I’m Leila, and I’m on this messy, beautiful journey to live more slowly and consciously… especially when it comes to fashion and waste.

It all really began after I read a textile report that truly shook me. I couldn’t just ignore it.

And I remembered something Gandhi said:

“Be the change you want to see in the world.”

I felt it. I knew I had to do something.

Then, one day, I was sitting with my friend—waiting for our kids to finish tennis class—when the owner of a yoga retreat mentioned I could join their retreat as a vendor. But, he added, “Everything you bring has to be sustainable.”

And you won’t believe it—we screamed with joy. Right there on the sidelines of the tennis court, we hugged each other like we’d just won something.

Because in that moment, I finally knew what I wanted to do.

Not accounting. Not what I was supposed to do.

Something that actually felt like me.

And that’s when the idea of making foldable bags—but the sustainable kind—was born.

Next episode, I’ll tell you what happened after that… and how my dining table didn’t survive this journey This is my very interesting podcast
