Unfolding as a series of interviews conducted in 1933 between assistant archivist Beryl Hastings (Cassandra Cavallaro) and private detective Marcus Devane (Marcus Ellison, Jr.), each episode draws inspiration from a classic work in the cosmic horror genre.

The year is 1933. Miskatonic University launches a pioneering project to document extraordinary experiences via audio recording. Assistant archivist Beryl Hastings (Cassandra Cavallaro) begins her series of interviews with private detective Marcus Devane (Marcus Ellison, Jr.) as he recounts the events leading to a harrowing encounter in the South Pacific in 1929.

Assistant archivist Beryl Hastings (Cassandra Cavallaro) continues her series of interviews with private detective Marcus Devane (Marcus Ellison, Jr.). Discharged from the Navy, Marcus returns to New Orleans and uncovers links between the island in the South Pacific and a mysterious cult. His investigation leads him to a retired policeman with crucial information.
