About this listen

In this episode, we crack open a forgotten archive of Ultra magazine — a Finnish publication dedicated to UFOs, parapsychology, and unexplained mysteries — and bring you three astonishing encounters from Russia and Estonia.

🛸 Case 1 – The Officer and the Vodka (Russia, 1978)

A Soviet army officer is taken aboard a craft by two humanoids in transparent suits. They speak telepathically and attempt to erase his memory — but fail, after the officer cleverly asks for a drink and writes the chemical formula for alcohol on the wall of the ship. The result? A baffled crew and an intact memory.

🌌 Case 2 – Lights Over Saaremaa (Estonia, 1985)

A teenage boy sees two UFOs near his home. One lands, the other hovers. The lights are witnessed by dozens across the island, and a local farmer later finds his metal roof partially melted. No fire, no sound — just fear and mystery.

🐍 Case 3 – The Dockworker and the Smoke Serpent (Estonia, late 1985)

Walking home in the snow, a man encounters a giant glowing sphere and a beam of light that follows him. Inside the sphere: a mist-like, S-shaped figure. Later that night, the beam enters through his window as if searching. His dog is paralyzed with fear. The ground outside? Still warm to the touch.
