Four months without TV and my first trip back to the big screen ends with an alien film so bad I can’t even remember its name. I ponder the baffling spelling of “Filipino” before heading on to Borneo, where a pre‑planned dive trip goes tits up and I end up sharing a dorm with a Swedish man doing something you should never do in shared accommodation (unless you're very discreet). Enjoy this latest reminder that not every adventure ends in sunsets and postcard views.
