Det är Howard Carter som skickat iväg telegrammet. Efter flera års utgrävningar i Konungarnas dal har han äntligen hittat det han så länge letat efter – farao Tutankhamons grav. Fyndet skulle visa sig vara större och mer magnifikt än vad man hade kunnat drömma om, och räknas som 1900-talets största arkeologiska upptäckt.
