  • Ep 226 // Why Do I Keep Comparing Myself to Other Moms? How to Stop Comparing Yourself and Feeling Like You're Not Enough
    Aug 20 2026

Struggling with mom comparison? Learn why we compare ourselves to other moms, what Galatians 6:4 says about it, and 3 steps to break the cycle.

You're having a perfectly fine day — until one scroll through Instagram, one glance at another mom's spotless kitchen, or one conversation about her thriving career sends you spiraling into "why can't I get it together like she has?"

In this episode, I break down why comparison feels so powerful (hint: it's not really about wanting what she has), what Galatians 6:4 says about testing our own actions instead of measuring ourselves against someone else, and three practical steps to catch the comparison spiral before it steals your peace. Whether it's motherhood, marriage, career, or your home, this episode is a reminder that God isn't asking you to keep up with anyone else's life — just to be faithful with the one He gave you.

What You'll Learn in This Episode
    • Why comparing yourself to other moms is never a fair comparison (you're comparing your behind-the-scenes to her highlight reel)
    • The real reason comparison stings — it's not envy, it's often a lie you already believe about yourself
    • What Galatians 6:4 teaches about testing our own actions instead of comparing
    • Three truths to remember when comparison creeps in: her strength isn't your failure, different isn't deficient, and faithfulness isn't about keeping up
    • A simple 3-step practice — catch it, name it, return to your calling — to interrupt the comparison spiral in real time
    • How 2 Corinthians 10:5 (taking every thought captive) applies directly to moments of comparison
    Key Takeaway

God isn't comparing you to anyone else — He's asking you to be faithful with what He's actually placed in your hands. Comparison isn't a character flaw to be ashamed of; it's a pattern you can notice, name, and redirect back to truth.

    Scripture Referenced
    • Galatians 6:4 — "Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else."
    • 2 Corinthians 10:5 — Taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ

  • Ep 225 // Why Am I Always So Hard on Myself? How to Stop Living Under the Pressure to Get Everything Right
    Aug 18 2026
Do you find yourself constantly criticizing yourself? Maybe you made a mistake at work and can't stop replaying it. Maybe you lost your patience with your kids and spent the rest of the day feeling guilty. Maybe you didn't get everything done and immediately started thinking about what you should have done differently. For many Christian women, especially working moms, being hard on yourself can become so normal that you don't even recognize it anymore. You expect yourself to be patient, productive, organized, spiritually consistent, emotionally healthy, available to your family, successful at work—and somehow still have enough energy left at the end of the day. And when you don't meet those expectations, you don't simply think, "I could have handled that better." You think, "What's wrong with me?" In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about self-criticism, perfectionism, guilt, and the pressure to get everything right. More importantly, we're looking at what God's Word says about our identity, our failures, and the difference between biblical conviction and condemnation. You don't have to become perfect to be faithful. And you don't have to punish yourself in order to grow. In this episode, you'll discover: Why you may be much harder on yourself than you realizeHow perfectionism can create a constant feeling of never being good enoughThe difference between conviction and condemnationWhy your mistakes don't determine your worth or identityHow to recognize when self-criticism has crossed the line into shameWhy biblical grace doesn't mean ignoring sin or avoiding responsibilityHow to respond differently when you mess upA simple practice for replacing harsh self-talk with biblical truthHow to stop measuring your worth by your productivity, performance, or ability to keep everything together Romans 8:1 reminds us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That doesn't mean we never need correction. It means we don't have to live under a constant sentence of shame. God can show us where we need to grow without telling us that we're worthless because we haven't arrived yet. Maybe you don't need to become harder on yourself. Maybe you need to learn how to receive God's grace while continuing to faithfully grow. A question to reflect on this week: Would I talk to someone I love the way I talk to myself? When you catch yourself thinking, I'm failing, I should be doing more, I can't get anything right, pause and ask: Is this conviction—or condemnation? Then ask God to show you what is yours to repent of, what is yours to learn from, and what you need to release to Him. You can take responsibility without tearing yourself apart. You can grow without shaming yourself. And you can be imperfect and still deeply loved by God. If you're ready to create more balance in your life: If you're tired of feeling like you're constantly trying to keep up, Faithfully Balanced was created to help working Christian moms identify what matters most, establish healthier priorities and boundaries, and build rhythms that actually work in real life. • Ep. 224 // How Do I Trust God When I Don't Know What's Next? Following God Through Seasons of Uncertainty
    Aug 13 2026
What do you do when you’re trusting God, but you still don’t know what’s next? Maybe you’re waiting for an answer, facing a difficult decision, navigating grief, worried about your finances, waiting on medical results, or simply wondering what the next season of life is going to look like. Uncertainty can make us crave control and clarity. We want the roadmap. We want to know how everything is going to work out. But Scripture reminds us that our security was never meant to come from knowing the future—it comes from knowing the God who already holds it. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about what it really looks like to trust God when you don’t know what’s next. I'm sharing three reminders for navigating seasons of uncertainty: 1. Trust and faith grow in the waiting, not just in the answer. God doesn’t always give us the entire roadmap. Often, He gives us enough light for the next step. We look at the stories of Abraham, Moses, Ruth, and Joseph and how they each had to take faithful steps without knowing exactly where God was leading them. 2. Fear gets loud when the future feels quiet. When we don’t have answers, our minds can quickly fill in the blanks with worst-case scenarios. Lindsay shares a simple question to use when worry begins to spiral: “What do I actually know to be true today?” 3. God’s presence is often greater than His explanation. Sometimes we desperately want God to explain why something is happening, but instead, He reminds us that He is with us. Lindsay shares personally about walking through life after losing her husband, Brandon, and the ways she has seen God's faithfulness through His provision, people, strength, and presence. You may not know what tomorrow holds. You may not have the answers you're asking God for yet. But you can know the One who holds tomorrow. Scripture mentioned: Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” This Week’s Challenge Whenever you catch yourself worrying about something you can’t control, pause and ask: “What do I know is true about God today?” Write down one truth from Scripture each day and let that truth become the place your mind returns to instead of all the “what ifs.” Resources If you’re ready to move from constantly reacting to life’s uncertainties toward living with greater peace, purpose, and biblical confidence, visit Faith Led Ministries for free resources and practical tools to help you grow in your walk with God.
