Then, the plaintiff says the defendant, her former roommate, owes her money for utilities, so she’s suing. The defendant insists the plaintiff conjured up this lawsuit out of the blue, and he denies owing her anything Plus, the plaintiff hired and paid the defendant to build her a new deck. Unfortunately, the plaintiff claims the defendant took off with her money and never did the job, so she’s suing. The defendant insists he told the plaintiff it was going to take time to obtain the permit for the deck, and all of a sudden, she changed her mind and demanded her money back.
