  • Bill blades
    Sep 21 2023

Jenny: Hey Bill, You were telling me a story about how you were really into extreme rollerbladeing in high school.

Bill: That's right, I loved those fruit boots!

Jenny: Were you able to do any cool tricks?

Bill: Yes! I could do three sixties, five forties, backflips, and grinds.

Jenny: Tell me the story about how you got into roller blading

Bill: Ah, that takes me back. It all started when I was about 13. My older brother had a pair of roller blades, and I used to sneak them out whenever he wasn't around. At first, I was just rolling around the neighborhood, enjoying the speed and the wind in my face. But then, I saw a group of kids at the local park doing some insane tricks, jumping off ramps, and grinding on rails. I was mesmerized.

Jenny: So, you got inspired by them?

Bill: Absolutely! I approached them, and they were kind enough to show me the basics. From there, I was hooked. Every day after school, I'd head to that park, practicing and trying to perfect my moves. I took a few spills, of course, but the thrill of landing a new trick was unbeatable.

Jenny: And how did your family react to your new passion?

Bill: My parents were a bit concerned about the risks, especially after a few scrapes and bruises. But they saw how dedicated I was and eventually got me my own pair of roller blades and protective gear. My brother, on the other hand, wasn't too thrilled about me "borrowing" his blades all the time. But he came around when he saw how good I got.

Jenny: It sounds like a fantastic journey. Do you still roller blade now?

Bill: Not as much as I'd like to, with work and family commitments. But every now and then, I'll strap on my blades and hit the park, reliving those good old days. The passion never really goes away.
