Episode 9 - Rondo alla Emergencia: EM Grand Rounds en Español with Dr. James Moak

  • Summary

  • Medical Spanish Education Initiatives come in all shapes and sizes, and offer a unique avenue for networking and collaboration both across and outside the United States.

In our first episode of 2024, we chat with Dr. James Moak, an Associate Professor in the Departmet of Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia, and the founder of the 'Spanish Grand Rounds' Seminar Series, a monthly zoom-based Grand Rounds initiative hosted by the University of Virginia Department of Emergency Medicine.

We learn about the structure and goal of these collaborative English-Spanish zoom sessions, and about Dr. Moak's own journey of learning and working with both of these languages.

If you’re interested in contacting Dr. Moak to follow up on any questions and especially if you’re interested in participating in the monthly Grand Rounds en Español, please email james.moak@virginia.edu
