About this listen
The Maintenance & Operations Levy Election is going on now, and ends on May 20th. It's time to vote in this important election and Board of Trustees Chairman Ron MacDonald visits with Ted about this election.
Ron is a Badger through and through as he was born and raised here in Bonners Ferry and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School.
He has been on the board of trustees for over 10 years and has weathered many ups and downs including the difficult time of Covid.
He has also lived through several of these M & O Levies as they take place every 2 years here in Bonners Ferry, as they do in many school districts in Idaho.
Ron wants to stress that this levy is NOT an increase in taxes. It is a continuation of a tax that has been in place for many years.
Budget items are discussed and he invites anyone to come in to the district office and look over the books and visit with administration officials about the needs of the school district and the consequences of the levy not passing.
