About this listen
In the episode, sociologist Beth Truesdale discusses her new book, Overtime: America's Aging Workforce and the Future of Working Longer, a collection of research which highlight the plight of overlooked older adults working longer as they are financially unprepared for retirement. We discuss how socioeconomic inequalities at work and within legislation lead to unequal work options in later life and what we can do for younger workers today that will improve their livelihood in their retirement years.
