About this listen

Kip Dooley is a writer, editor, and educator who highlights solutions to our world’s most pressing challenges. He cowrites Bare Bones, a weekly(ish) newsletter about food, family, and what nourishes us, with award-winning cookbook author Beth Dooley, his mother. They also teach a quarterly online class, showing home cooks how to make delicious home meals with seasonal, local produce.

As a journalist, he’s written about food, theatre, and unlikely Trump voters. He taught communications studies at American University in Washington, D.C., and began his career teaching high school English and social studies while earning an M.S. in Education at The University of Pennsylvania. He brings an educator’s eye to all he does.

In this episode we discuss being in the middle of internal transformation while being ok with not having everything figured out, faith-based communities whether religious or not, sports, learning, and Kip does live poetry reading.
