Food plays a very important role—to the extent of 50%—in our fitness regime and body structure. While eating, we never think of what we are eating, how much we are eating, how much time we take to eat, how well we are chewing, or what we should eat.
A yogi can survive on a very simple diet and yet enjoy good health. The focus should be on nutrition obtained from the food, not the taste, as yoga moves away from being a slave to the taste buds. It recommends moderation.
Instead of eradicating certain ingredients, such as ghee, in our diet, we should enjoy its benefits. Adopting exercise and physical workouts into our routine allows us to enjoy good food while remaining fit and agile.
