Dr. Roach is a PRICE alum who is currently an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in the Department of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. She is a trained nurse and researcher whose work focuses on chronic pain and sickle cell disease. In this episode, she discusses her journey to getting her PhD and how her interests shifted from diabetes research to sickle cell.
