About this listen
On July 22, 2018, 18-year-old Nia Wilson was heading home with her two sisters from a family gathering when she was fatally stabbed. Letifah, Nia's sister, was also stabbed but managed to survive and helped investigators piece together what happened. Thankfully, Nia's killer, John Cowell, was soon apprehended. In their effort to uncover his motive, the police learned that there might not have been one, and her murder could be attributed to the color of her skin.
