About this listen
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
PSALM 121:7-8
DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 121
This passage offers deep reassurance of God’s eternal protection. He watches over every part of your journey—from where you begin to where you end. God doesn’t promise a life free from hardship, but He does promise His presence and preservation through it.
Whether you're stepping into something new or returning to familiar ground, He’s guarding you. Your soul, the core of who you are, is safe in His hands. When anxiety rises, remember: God is your keeper. He is not a distant observer but a close, faithful protector who walks with you every step of the way.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, You are my ever-present protector. You cover me in every season and preserve my soul.
CONFESSION: I often worry about what lies ahead and forget that You go before me.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You for never leaving me vulnerable or alone. Thank You for the peace that comes from knowing you keep me.
SUPPLICATION: Father, still my heart when I fear. Remind me that you are with me whether I rise or rest, venture out or return home. Help me to trust Your protection, not just physically but spiritually. Let Your nearness be my comfort and Your promises be my confidence.
PRAYER
“The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
PSALM 121:7-8
Dear God, The Lord of heaven and earth, You preserve us from our own sin and corruption. In Your love for us You turn away from our wickedness and accept us with open arms. The enjoyment that comes from repentance is a blessing beyond measure! Though we do not deserve it, You are faithful to forgive us when we turn towards You. How wonderful it is that we can come before You in prayer, confessing our sins and failures, knowing that we will be welcomed into Your everlasting arms. We praise You for Your faithfulness and love, and for the joy that comes from repentance. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
