Steve McNair, a former NFL quarterback, was tragically murdered on July 4, 2009, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was found shot to death in a condominium he shared with his 20-year-old girlfriend, Sahel "Jenni" Kazemi, who was also found dead at the scene. Investigators concluded it was a murder-suicide, with Kazemi shooting McNair multiple times before turning the gun on herself. The motive appeared to be personal turmoil, as Kazemi was reportedly distraught over financial issues and her relationship with McNair, who was married at the time. The case shocked the sports world and ended the life of a beloved athlete at just 36 years old.
