Episode 102: Amy—52 Personalities and a Sex Cult

  • Summary

  • This episode discusses the subjects of self-harm and sexual abuse of a child, although there is no graphic description of either.

Amy developed dissociative identity disorder after being sexually abused by her father and brother—and sold by her father at age 11 to a pedophile sex cult. She developed 52 other personalities to help her deal with the trauma.

The cult brainwashed Amy to respond to triggers. After being subjected to their abuse for decades, Amy finally found help and severed her connection to the cult.
