今回のCafe Montagはドイツのディストピア小説『メトーデ（原題：Corpus Delicti Ein Prozess）』について取り上げます。
著者はボン出身のJuli Zeh（ユーリ・ツェー）さんです。2009年の作品ですが、河出書房新社より7月末に邦訳で出版されましたので、夏休みに読んでみました。
誰もが望むはずの「健康」や「安全」は国家が管理すべきなのか。過剰な統制で何が失われるのか。思想を統制しようとした結果もたらされる分断。小説で描かれた架空の世界は、今の現実と違うと言えるのか、同じところもあるのか。
この物語を味わいながら色々と考えてみませんか？
