Avevo risparmiato un bel po’ con tutte quelle merende non consumate a scuola, quel tanto che bastava per prendere il primo treno, destinazione infinito. Ero romantico anche nelle fughe solitarie. Il mio pensiero correva più veloce dei vagoni su cui viaggiavo. Ero seduto all’ultimo vagone. Come se avessi voluto essere l’ultimo a lasciar dietro tutto il percorso fatto alle mie spalle.
