Scotty hit the game winning three pointer as part of the NCAA Basketball Championship team that knocked off Grant Hill and the Duke Blue Devils in the 1994 Finals. Corliss Williamson and Scotty Thurman were a hard duo to contain under Coach Nolan Richardson's guidance as the Hogs went 16 - 0 at home that season. Scotty went on to play 10 years of pro basketball overseas before going on to work and coach at his alma matter and with the Senior Boys team at Parkview High School.
