About this listen
Vera Wang is an American fashion designer based in New York City. She was hired to be an editor at Vogue immediately upon graduation from college, making her the youngest editor at that magazine. She stayed at Vogue for 17 years, only leaving in 1987 to join Ralph Lauren for 2 years, before setting up an independent bridal fashion house under her own name. She has designed dresses for Ivanka Trump, Chelsea Clinton, Mariah Carey, Michelle Obama and many more.
In this episode, Wang gives advice for those attempting to work in the fashion industry and enters into the centuries old debate about which is the superior fashion capital: Paris or Milan.
