Cristina ha sido una pionera en la teorización de los cuidados de enfermería. Ha participado en programas de cooperación internacional en Guinea Ecuatorial, Nicaragua, El Salvador, entre otros. Docente en la Universidad de Alcalá de Henares donde recientemente y con tristeza se ha jubilado. Nos habla de la Enfermería como una profesión que ha llenado su vida, sigue manteniendo el contacto dirigiendo tesis, trabajos de fin de master y conferencias puntuales.
