Tuvimos la bendición de poder conversar con el Dr. Bernardino Ortiz Santiago quien trabajo por mucho tiempo en el Departamento de Agricultura Federal y de Puerto Rico, ex presidente de la Junta Examinadora de Médicos Veterinarios de Puerto Rico y fue parte del grupo de médicos veterinarios quienes erradicaron el “screwworm”, “brucellosis”, “tuberculosis” y “hog cholera” en Puerto Rico.
El 14 de octubre 1992 fue nombrado presidente de la junta examinadora bajo la gobernación de Hernández Colón, donde estuvo por un periodo de 8 años.
