About this listen

Welcome back for another episode of the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! We are so excited to continue our Empire of Storms coverage with chapters 13-20.

This set of chapters was chock full of shocking reveals! Aelin successfully takes back Brannon's temple and learns of a new magical object she needs to go track down. But nothing can ever just be easy, so, of course, Erawan surprises them with a horrific blast from Aelin's past in the form of Endovier's Overseer. Meanwhile, Manon makes a fate altering decision to save Asterin's life from punishment for her actions in Rifthold, while also learning the JAW DROPPING truth about her true lineage. Last but not least, Rowan and Dorian arrive in Skull's Bay safely and prepare for their meeting with the infamous Pirate Lord - Captain Rolfe.

As usual, our episode deep dive will include chapter summaries with our “Book Report,” an in depth analysis of key events, and our favorite moments from today’s chapters.

*This is a spoiler free podcast for the rest of series, but please note that this episode will include spoilers for the books we’ve read so far including: The Assassin’s Blade, Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows.
