Elke Fitz aus Lustenau engagiert sich seit zehn Jahren für das Projekt "Radeln ohne Alter", das älteren Menschen mit E-Rikschas Ausflüge und soziale Kontakte ermöglicht. Inspiriert durch einen TED-Talk des dänischen Sozialunternehmers Ole Kassow, hat sie das Projekt in ganz Österreich etabliert. Trotz anfänglicher Skepsis der Senioren hat sich das Projekt erfolgreich auf 21 Standorte in Vorarlberg und 14 in ganz Österreich ausgeweitet. Die Resonanz ist überwältigend positiv, und viele Ehrenamtliche, besonders Männer im Ruhestand, engagieren sich als Rikscha-Piloten. Trotz finanzieller Herausforderungen bleibt Elke Fitz optimistisch und hofft auf Unterstützung durch Sponsoren und die Politik. radelnohnealter.at
