El Padre Horacio Bojorge es sacerdote Jesuita. Nació en Montevideo, Uruguay en 1934, de padres Católicos no practicantes. Se formó en la escuela y el liceo laicos del estado uruguayo. Militó en la Acción Católica de estudiantes (1949-1952). Ingresó en la Compañía de Jesús en 1953 y se ordenó de sacerdote en Maastricht, Holanda, en 1965. Cursó sus estudios de Humanidades clásicas en Chile (1955-1956). Se licenció en Filosofía en Argentina (1959); en Teología en Holanda (1966) y en Sagrada Escritura en el Instituto Bíblico en Roma (1969). Visitó Tierra Santa en 1967. Terminados sus estudios volvió al Río de la Plata en 1969.
